It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks for us at BIA. I have spent most of my time working on our Concussion in
Schools Education Programme, we have visited 5 schools and educated over 1200 Tamariki!
We have had great feedback about our Concussion in Schools Programme, the Tamariki we’ve worked with have responded really well to our presentation, and have had fun whilst learning about the brain, what a concussion is, symptoms of concussion, what to do if you think you may have a concussion, STOP, TELL AN ADULT! and why it’s important.
It has been very exciting to hear talk in the community about the programme. I have been told of parents on the sideline of Saturday morning sports talking about it, and what their children learnt with us, we have also had great feedback from teachers and the Tamariki.
We are really excited by the buzz being created and can’t wait to get in to our next lot Schools!
