Brain Injury Hawke’s Bay is again pleased to be able to offer the services of the Family Support Group to the whanau/family members of those living with a brain injury.
The support group that had run for several years took a small hiatus last year as numbers needing the service decline. With few enquiries to keep the group running the decision was reluctantly made to stop the service with a view to reviewing this decision should the need arise.
The past few months have seen the number of enquiries for family support increase and so we are pleased to announce that we have resumed this service. The group will run once a month out of our office here on King St, on the first Tuesday of the month at 4pm, finishing at 5pm.
The service is aimed at providing education/information and both peer and professional support to its members. The next meeting is on July the 3rd.
